Let's be honest. Sometimes we just have friends who are cooler than we are. The pressure when they ask you where to go is real. We've got your back with some of the Native's go-to's when you're eating with someone cooler than you.

Ian: "Right off Rittenhouse Square, this place is always packed with wine lovers. They focus on importers which gives the small producers a fighting chance. Expect to see a lot of natural wine from new school American Pinot noir to cru Beaujolais. Fair warning, this place can be a little boujee so it’s best for if you are looking for an upscale experience."

Georgie: "The hype is legit people! From the moment you walk into Suraya, you know it’s special. As a former interior designer, I’m obsessed with the gorgeous Moroccan tiles and lighting. I can say with absolute certainty that their Lebanese chai latte is the best chai latte I’ve ever had, no joke! Not only does it taste amazing, but it’s stunning, as it is served in a colorful Turkish mug and topped with rose petals! I also highly recommend the Baba Ganoush, the rose/pistachio cruller, and any of the flatbreads! Make a ressie, because this place is always bumpin!"

Adam: "SOUTH has a very homey atmosphere with natural wood colors and white paneling and glass cupboards all over. This makes SOUTH feel like a southern home. Smooth jazz and Frank Sinatra plays over the speakers as everyone eats their meal."

Mollie: "I am a huge fan of Stephen Starr restaurants; the aesthetics and menus are so unique and never disappoint. This is also one of my favorite places to bring visitors from out of town. There is always something for everyone since they put a modern twist on classic dishes...i.e. cheesesteak eggrolls."

Stacey: "If you’re a whiskey fan, this is the place for you! With a nice selection of whiskey, bourbon, and scotch, you can imbibe while listening to live music. The Happy Hour offers a nice range of food but the chicken sandwich is my go to and it’s filling!
If you find yourself to be a regular, you might want to consider the free to join Bourbon Club. With a list of bourbons, you can check off the ones you try and be rewarded with a rocks glass(when you’ve completed the list), discounts and special tasting events!"
